Hey friends.  We are in the process of re-designing our office space (woo hoo) and have 4 sad and lonely frames with no prints yet displayed in them.  We are looking to exhibit some of our best work and need your help choosing the cream of the crop!  Please vote on your favorite images rating them in order from 1-4.  Voting begins now and ends on Wed. May, 16.  FREE HUGS for all who participate!  We appreciate your eyes and your input.  We will post the winning images at the end of next week.

Chelsea + Everet = Adorable Couple.  These two lovebirds went to high school together but it wasn’t until a Halloween Party in '06 that sparks began

to fly.  After dating for 5 years Everet finally popped the question on Thanksgiving Day after he took his lovely lady on a flying adventure around the

valley!  Here’s the proposal story in Chelsea’s own words:

“Once we landed he walked me out onto the runway. He proceeded to tell me how much I mean to him and how much he loves me and before I

 knew it he was on one knee!!! I had been dreaming of this day forever and it was the most perfect proposal ever! My fiance then flew me home to

 go spread the good news to all our family and friends!”

What a story! And now they have some sweet photos to go along with their sweet story.  These shots were captured at the Visalia Airport and the

farm where Everet grew up.

Woohoo for no shoes and for standing in solidarity with the hundreds of kids around the world that go without.  Thank you to all who took part in the barefoot challenge and joined in to spread awareness about children that are at risk of disease, infection, and injury from going without shoes.  You can learn more about these issues on the One Day Without Shoes website.  Toms is the shoe company that sponsors this event and runs the One for One movement… meaning that every time a purchase is made a new pair of shoes goes to a child in need.

The event was a huge success this year.  Lots of bare feet made their way down Main Street to the Fox Theater where the event was held.  Numerous vendors set up booths and the bands Strange Vine and Electric Guest provided musical entertainment.  All the proceeds went to benefit the Visalia Rescue Mission, and all of the shoes collected during their shoe drive will be given away to those in need.  And of course, lots of silliness happened at the TES photo booth.

No amount of rain could stop the downpour of love felt at this wedding.  Big props to Flo and Rob for remaining a cheerful bride and blissful groom despite the weather and for shivering in the wind as we captured some amazing shots.  Flo looked stunning in her exquisite Lazaro gown which she purchased at Mia Bella Bridal in Fresno, Ca.  The details of the gown were simply striking, and the way Flo donned it was breathtaking. To incorporate “something old” and “something borrowed” Flo wore her mother’s veil, earrings borrowed from one grandmother, and a bracelet from her other grandmother.  Rob sent over a “something new” gift to the bridal suite to add to her collection of adornments.  A delicate ring in the shape of a bow…because in his words “we’re tying the knot today.”  Adorable.

This elegant soiree was held at the luxurious Wolf Lakes Park in Sanger, Ca.  The aesthetic was refined and classy with lots of ornate details.  The gorgeous flower arrangements were done by Shelley at Sweet Memories Flowers based in Visalia, Ca.  I especially fancied the candelabra arrangements which added height and interest to the tablescape.  On each chair a fleece blanket was provided for guests to keep snug.  The blankets were embroidered by Smith Promotions with the word “gezillig”.  Flo is a Dutch gal, you see, and this is a very important word in that culture.  There really is no exact English translation but the closest meaning is “a cozy, warm, enjoyable time.”  Well, the reception was a “gezellig” time indeed.  Wolf Lakes served up a delicious meal of filet mignon and coconut shrimp.  Champagne flowed as the bridal attendants took turns toasting the lovely couple.  I believe the most impressionable toast was the maid of honor’s rap tribute to the bride and groom!  Guests relaxed in the lounge area which was furnished and set up by Lounge Essence.  Sweet treats included a beautifully decorated cake by Gourmet Desserts and late night donuts and coffee.  The dance floor was pumping with jams provided by Dj Todd Henry of AMS Entertainment. The bride and groom were sent off with a sparkler farewell and took off in a 1961 Jaguar Limo which was rented from Royal Coach Limousine Company.

Thank you Rob and Flo for being so easygoing and adorable and for letting us document your special day.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

What and epic wedding! City Hall is an amazing venue, so glad I got the chance to shoot this couple… more blog to come!

Rob and Flo are tying they knot, and the “forced” me to join them for the terrible task of taking some engagement photos while wine tasting, and gallivanting at the coast for the weekend. It’s a tough job, but someones got to do it! 

The Pierce’s have been family friends of mine since I was a tiny little fella. I’m always excited to get a chance to shoot their family portrait again this year. The weather was on my side that day, the results were stunning.

Thomas and Laura tying the knot in a garden! When I first heard about the location for this wedding I had a hard time visualizing how it would all fit, but all I can say now is, WOW! Watson’s Veggie Garden on Main Street is definitely a tucked away gem. Even the drizzle of rain could not steal anything away from this quaint little spot. In this garden, Pastor Travis Aicklen officiating at the ceremony, brought this man and woman to husband and wife.

This vintage inspired wedding included flowers from Sweet Memories, with some of my favorites! One of the valley’s favorite places to dine, Fugazzi’s catered the wedding with delicious food.Musical stylizing for the processional was provided by the unique beard and voice of Jerrod Turner of the Gospel Whiskey Runners.

Now, let’s bring together the best of two worlds, Taylor’s Hot Dogs and Brewbakers beer! These late night dogs were a nice topper to the hungry bellies on the dance floor. Watching all the dancing feet, I couldn’t help but notice Thomas and his groomsmen ‘s feet, which were all fitted into a pair Toms Shoes. To add a sweet touch to the evening, there was a dessert table full of homemade goodies. One of the popular desserts of the night was the Oreo balls, enjoyed on unique plates that were collected from various thrift stores.

I can’t thank Thomas and Laura enough for having such a unique and beautiful wedding, and thank you for letting me be apart of it and thank you for making my job easy.
